Five international students who were offering namaz in the hostel of Gujarat University were attacked by a mob. These students include students from Afghanistan, South Africa, Uzbekistan, and Sri Lanka who have been injured.

The students were offering namaz in their rooms when a group of people allegedly protested and raised religious slogans. This started a dispute between the two groups, and soon, a fight broke out.
Badgujar said of the injured foreign students, only one was admitted to the hospital, while the others had already been treated and discharged.
Neeraj Kumar Badgujar confirmed that an FIR has been lodged and assured that the attackers will be arrested soon.
The student claimed that police reached the spot after the intruders ran away. The video of the attack on international students has gone viral on social media. At least five vehicles were damaged, according to the video.
