Today, Kedarnath Dham Doors Closed have been closed for the winter season and on this extraordinary occasion, Kedarnath Dham has been decorated with 10 quintals of flowers. Today, in Abhijeet Muhurat, the doors of Kedarnath Dham have been closed for the winter season. This holy ritual was performed at 8:30 am on the auspicious occasion of Bhaidooj. Upon closing the doors, Kedarnath Dham was decorated with around 10 quintals of flowers. This religious process started last Tuesday with the closing of the doors of Bhayank Kut Bhairavnath. After this, gradually following other religious rules and traditions, the gates of Baba Kedarnath were also closed today.

This year Kedarnath Dham witnessed an unprecedented crowd of devotees. Devotees kept coming in large numbers for darshan even during the monsoon season. This year till 31st October, a total of 162000 devotees have visited Baba Kedarnath. Today, on the occasion of the closing of the doors, a large number of devotees were seen present. Now, in winter, Baba’s worship will be done in the Omkareshwar temple located in Khee Math.

Yesterday, the Panchmukhi idol of Kedarnath was sent to Ukhimat through a chal vigraha doli. From Gaurikund via Son Prayag, the doli will rest in Rampur tomorrow night and after that, from 5th November, Kedarnath will be worshipped in the Omkareshwar temple located in Ukhimat. Kedarnath resides here during the entire winters and this year, more than 16 lakh devotees have visited Kedarnath. In the last six days alone, 1 lakh devotees had reached there.
